Sue Haywood
Sue Haywood is a silversmith and jeweller who makes handcrafted jewellery and offers silversmithing workshops where people make their own jewellery. She designs and makes her jewellery using recycled sterling silver and semi-precious gemstones from UK based companies, all of which give ethical assurances about the provenance of the materials they sell.

In my words

Jewellery has been an integral part of culture throughout human history. For millennia it has served a range of purposes, depending on human experience and belief – to mark important life events, for adornment, as a form of self-expression, to convey a sense of identity or belonging, to protect from harm or to demonstrate a particular style or status.
In jewellery workshops participants have an opportunity to experience making a piece of jewellery to be proud of, one which can express something of their own creativity and result in a real sense of achievement.
